Are you interested in a career in the financial sector working on ICT development? The Finnish pension system is an interesting and internationally unique entity. Pensions and their financing are a large part of the national economy. The pension sector has many ICT systems, the development and maintenance of which are the responsibility of professionals in the field. We have almost 80 ICT professionals at Elo.<\/p>\n
We are now looking for new experts to join Elo to learn about the earnings-related pension industry and grow into future ICT experts in our 1-2 year trainee program. During this time, you will have the opportunity to learn a variety of things about the pension industry and develop your skills in interesting ICT tasks. The trainee period will start as a summer job in May-June 2025 and continue as an hourly job after the summer.<\/p>\n
What's coming up?<\/p>\n
First summer: During the first summer, you will get to know the earnings-related pension industry and the everyday life of a pension company in a variety of ways. Your everyday tasks will be related to managing insurance, processing different types of pensions and benefits, or paying benefits. You will also immediately get involved in customer service, for example via phone and chat.
\nAfter the summer: Once you have the basics of the pension industry under your belt, you can expand your ICT skills according to your interests! After the summer, your tasks may include, for example, testing, incident management or system development. Growth as a trainee takes place according to your own development and interests, so you can truly influence how quickly you are given new tasks. The goal is that by the second summer at the latest, you will be ready to move on to versatile tasks in ICT development or maintenance.<\/p>\n
To whom?<\/p>\n
We are looking for university students to join our ICT trainee program, for example in the field of data processing or information technology. We also value customer service experience, interest in system and process development, and the utilization of new technologies. Above all, we emphasize an enthusiastic, collaborative, and proactive attitude. Our working language is Finnish, but you will also need good English skills for the position.<\/p>\n

During the trainee period, you will learn about earnings-related pensions and grow as an ICT expert through an induction program tailored to you. Your designated induction person and the rest of the team will help you develop your skills and take on additional responsibility as you gain experience. The goal is to get you interested in the earnings-related pensions sector so that you want to continue working with us in ICT even after the trainee period. <\/p>\n
Our starting salary for trainee positions (including lunch benefits) is \u20ac2,300\/month. We flexibly take into account your study schedules so that you can complete your studies as planned also during the trainee period. We have modern workspaces in Tapiola, Espoo and the possibility of partial remote working.<\/p>\n
