We are looking for seasonal and summer workers for the Riihim\u00e4ki factories (address: Meijerintie 6 (R1) and Meijerintie 17 (R2), 11710 Riihim\u00e4ki). <\/p>\n
We are looking for someone who is energetic and dares to take action. You enjoy working in a team with a supportive and positive attitude, and you are also able to work independently. You are flexible and proactive, and you adapt quickly to changing situations. You understand the importance of accuracy, customer satisfaction and occupational safety in your work. The duration of summer work is generally 3\u20134 months between May and September, with an emphasis on June and August. Individual needs may arise as early as early spring in March-April and\/or later in the fall. It is important that you state in your application when you can work. Due to occupational health and safety regulations, we require at least 18 years of age for all positions at the Riihim\u00e4ki factory and sufficient Finnish language skills to perform the position. <\/p>\n
We consider it an advantage if you have studies\/degrees related to the position in question or previous experience in industrial production processes. You can also apply for some of the positions without previous experience or training in the field, you will learn the task through our good orientation. Summer work is also suitable for those changing fields. During the summer, you will get a good insight into what interesting career opportunities the food industry can offer. <\/p>\n

Below are examples of the most typical summer jobs at our factory. Shifts vary depending on the task, please mention on the application form whether you are able to work shifts. <\/p>\n
Production <\/p>\n
In product packaging, you will learn how to use different packaging machines. You will be responsible for, for example, the entire packaging machine and its aftermarket. As part of your task, you will be responsible for product quality, sensory evaluation and entries into the systems. <\/p>\n
You work in hygiene area I\/elsewhere in the production process, so you naturally pay attention to cleanliness and order. The task requires diligence and accuracy. In addition, you must be self-initiative and assertive. You need good interaction skills, as you deal with different stakeholders on a daily basis, e.g. maintenance, supervisors and process controllers. You can also develop at work, for example by learning different machines and their use, and by learning problem-solving skills. <\/p>\n
Warehouse \/ logistics <\/p>\n
We offer a variety of warehouse\/logistics tasks. You will get to know the different tasks of a distribution warehouse. Tasks include, among others, picking and combining loads delivered to our customers. You will become familiar with voice-controlled picking, receiving and sending goods, temperature and stamp management, and for some, driving a forklift is also part of the daily tasks. The task requires initiative, good physical condition, diligence and the ability to work independently. The work is shift work. <\/p>\n
Staff canteen <\/p>\n
The job includes preparing salad for lunch and dishwashing. In addition, filling\/making rolls and other snacks and exporting products to the factory's coffee facilities. Working hours are 5:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., summer work duration June-July. <\/p>\n
Cleaning <\/p>\n
There are many types of cleaning jobs available, from office cleaning to cleaning production facilities. A summer worker will do well with a positive and cheerful attitude. Previous cleaning work is considered an advantage, but is not necessary. <\/p>\n
Maintenance\/spare parts inventory <\/p>\n
The main tasks of a summer worker in a spare parts warehouse include inventorying and organizing the warehouse, receiving goods and recording them in the system, and assisting the technical buyer. The job requires initiative, good physical condition, diligence, and the ability to work independently. Good IT skills and SAP expertise are considered an advantage. The work is done in the day shift on weekdays. <\/p>\n
