We are now looking for a self-starting electrical professional with good communication skills, an open attitude to new challenges, and an interest in working with developing rail traffic. We are developing our operations center organization and are recruiting a permanent on-call operator for our growing team at the Kouvola operations center.<\/p>\n
Fintraffic employs a total of over 1,100 top professionals in four different transport modes: air navigation, maritime, road and rail traffic control. Fintraffic's rail traffic control is responsible for the control and management of rail traffic. Approximately 490 professionals work in rail traffic control, for example as rail traffic controllers, traffic information officers, shift managers, project managers, rail traffic specialists and service designers. As the railway industry renews and digitalizes, we are also increasingly looking for data and digital experts, for example as data architects, application managers and ICT experts.<\/p>\n
What does the task involve?<\/p>\n
There are operation centers in four cities and each operation center operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The duties of the operation officers working in Fintraffic's rail traffic control operation centers include changes in the connection of electric lines, energy usage monitoring, and coordination and recording of repairs to rail infrastructure faults. In addition, the operation officers assist in matters related to the electrical safety of the electric lines and the use of electrical equipment. The position requires the ability to travel.<\/p>\n
In your work at the operation center, you will work in continuous and smooth cooperation with traffic control, traffic planning, contractors, rescue authorities and network companies. Operation centers maintain a 24-hour fault reception service, initiate repair work if necessary and monitor the response times related to repair work. In addition, the work of the operation centers includes advice on electrical safety and the use of electrical equipment on the electrified railway. Operation centers play an important role in problem situations on the electrified railway.<\/p>\n

\nElectrical professional competence according to SFS6002
\nGood interaction skills and ability to collaborate<\/p>\n
We would also appreciate it if you have:
\nBachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering (e.g. Bachelor of Science)
\nWork experience in the railway industry
\nGood pressure resistance
\nUnderstanding of the use of IT systems
\nSelf-initiative and solution-oriented approach with safety in mind<\/p>\n

The position complies with the collective agreement of the Service Sector Employers' Association PALTA and the Railway Union RAU regarding Customer Service, Traffic Management and Control, and Administrative and Other Office Duties. The basic salary for the position is in accordance with salary group 18b of the salary appendix "Task-specific guideline monthly salaries for other white-collar employees", in addition to which the total salary consists of a personal bonus (max 13.5 %) and various working time compensations.<\/p>\n
