What You Will Be Doing: <\/p>\n
As a Design Trainee, you will be actively involved in various stages of the design process, reporting directly to the Chief Design Officer (CDO).<\/p>\n
Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n
Concept Generation: Developing initial design sketches and concepts based on project briefs and market research.
\nVisual Development: Creating high-quality renderings and presentation materials for internal review.
\nPrototyping & Mock-ups: Assisting in the preparation, building, and refinement of physical prototypes and mock-ups.
\nCMF (Color, Material, Finish): Researching, specifying, and organizing color and material samples for new and existing products.
\nDesign Support: Assisting senior designers with design preparation and documentation.
\nWhat we Are Looking for:<\/p>\n
We are seeking individuals who possess a proactive, hands-on mentality and exceptional design acumen. This opportunity is suitable for those who hold a degree (BA\/MA) in Industrial Design or a related field, or are nearing the completion of their final year of studies and are focused on their graduation project. Additionally, the role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about starting their professional career in design.<\/p>\n

Exceptional Conceptual Thinking: A proven ability to generate creative, innovative, and market-appropriate design concepts.
\nStrong Visual Communication: Excellent drawing, sketching, and rendering skills to clearly articulate design ideas at every stage.
\nProactive & Hands-On Mentality: A ”get-it-done” approach with enthusiasm for physical work, prototyping, and preparing mock-ups.
\nMaterial & Color Acumen: A great eye for color and material selection (CMF), development, and application.
\nTechnical Curiosity: An innate interest in assemblies, mechanisms, and manufacturing processes\u2014understanding how things work.
\nLanguage Skills: Fluent English is required. Proficiency in Finnish is a significant asset.
\nRequired Technical Skills:<\/p>\n
3D Modeling: Proficiency in Rhino 3D and\/or SolidWorks.
\nRendering: Proficiency in Keyshot.
\n2D Graphics: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
\nValuable Assets (+): Blender experience (modeling\/visualization), basic understanding of parametric CAD software principles, or understanding of furniture design principles (ergonomics, structure, manufacturing methods) is a significant benefit.

\nPracticalities:<\/p>\n
This is a fixed-term position for 6 months, with the potential for a 4-month extension. The expected start date is February 2026. Please tell us in your application when you would be able to start. The position is located in Tampere. Due to the nature of the work, this role requires working onsite at our factory and HQ in Tampere. The compensation for the role is based on our trainee salary, which ranges from 2250\u20ac to 2800\u20ac per month for a full-time contract. The final compensation depends on the study credits achieved.<\/p>\n
