We are looking for summer guides for the Juhani Aho Museum of Iisalmi Cultural Service for the period 1.6. \u2013 31.7.2026 (two guides for June and two guides for July).<\/p>\n
The Juhani Aho Museum is a special museum presenting the life and work of our national writer. Aho lived in a small rectory that serves as a museum building from 1865 to 1876, www.iisalmi.fi\/juhaniahonmuseo<\/p>\n
Duties include customer service, guidance, cleaning and various tasks assisting with museum work. The summer guides are supervised by a museum amanuensis who has training in the field. Working hours are 38.25 hours\/week. The work may also include weekend and evening work.<\/p>\n
We are looking for someone who is able to work with customers and also guide groups. The person we are looking for is cooperative and flexible. The position also requires language skills, especially English. Presentation skills are considered an advantage.<\/p>\n
Those hired for summer work are expected to meet the conditions of the city's youth summer work support: the applicant is 15-25 years old and a resident of Iisalmi or living in Iisalmi during the summer season. However, this is not mandatory.<\/p>\n
Applications for summer work are primarily submitted using an electronic form at www.kuntarekry.fi no later than February 13, 2026. The decision on the selection will be announced to all applicants by April 24, 2026.<\/p>\n
In the wonderland of Iisalmi, you live on land and in the world at the same time \u2013 in an atmosphere of nature and international companies. In January 2026, the Try Iisalmi! campaign will start, with a Tonnin bonus and an experience pass, which we will award to three (3) young professionals moving to the Iisalmi region for summer jobs. In return, the selected \u201dKoeiisalmi residents\u201d commit to sharing their experiences of working, living and having fun in Iisalmi on the @koeiisalmi Instagram account.
