The year-long AFRY Future Stars career path program is structured flexibly with summer jobs and part-time jobs during the academic year, as well as Training Days that support your development together with other interns. During the training days, you will learn important skills about working in the design and consulting industry and discovering your professional potential. As a Future Stars intern, you will be supported in building your own career path and professional development. During the internship program, you will also receive support from your own tutor.<\/p>\n
The work assignments are tailored individually for the intern, depending on their own situation, skills and interests. During the program, you can also negotiate the possibility of doing your master's or thesis with us.<\/p>\n

We are now recruiting for the Mining Environment Department!<\/p>\n
The Mining Environment Department is part of the Finnish Environmental Business Unit. There are approximately 170 environmental experts in the unit and approximately 25 in the Mining Environment Department, and our experts work in eight locations around Finland. We are involved in diverse and interesting projects in mine planning and impact assessments, and we work closely with other AFRY units in Finland and abroad.<\/p>\n
As a Stara, you will be able to perform a variety of field-related support tasks under the supervision of more experienced colleagues representing different scientific disciplines. Typical tasks include collecting and analyzing initial data for geochemistry and\/or hydrogeology projects, as well as supporting tasks related to environmental impact assessments. Depending on your situation and wishes, you can work from either the Vantaa or Oulu offices.<\/p>\n
Who are we looking for?<\/p>\n
You are a university student in the final stages of your studies (3rd\u20135th year). Ideally, you will have one year of studies left when the program begins.<\/p>\n
You may be the person we are looking for if you have:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Study background in chemistry or geology (university or university of applied sciences)
\n\u2013 Enthusiasm to develop into a professional in environmental engineering, hydrogeology, geophysics or geochemistry and learn more about research methods in the field
\n\u2013 Good collaboration and communication skills
\n\u2013 Fluent Finnish and English language skills<\/p>\n
Previous GIS knowledge is also considered an advantage in the position.<\/p>\n
