We are now looking for a summer trainee to join the Kempower RDI team for approximately 3-4 months between May-September 2024. The exact start and duration of the summer internship period will be agreed separately depending on the assignment.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE ROLE<\/p>\n
As an Embedded Software trainee, you will have the chance to participate in the development and maintenance of firmware software that is used on Kempower products worldwide.<\/p>\n
You will gain valuable experience in embedded software development using C\/C++ on Linux environments. Target hardware is Kempower\u2019s design.<\/p>\n
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN<\/p>\n
Software development together with R&D team
\nCoding and debugging software on real hardware pcb
\nDocumenting of your design on web-based tools
\nTesting developed applications with electrical vehicles and chargers
\nYou are curious by nature and eager for continuous development. Your working style is proactive, and you enjoy getting things done. Knowledge of electronics will be seen as an advantage.<\/p>\n
There will also be a company onboarding during June, where you will learn about Kempower as a company and the roles of different departments.<\/p>\n
We expect you to be physically present at the Lahti office for the first month \u2013 after that remote days are also possible if the team feels it is the best way to work.<\/p>\n
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?<\/p>\n
You have completed at least 2 years’ worth of university\/university of applied sciences studies in a relevant field or have otherwise acquired corresponding skills
\nFluent usage of Linux as development environment
\nGood C\/C++ programming skills
\nFamiliarity with version control
\nGood cooperation and communication skills
\nFluent English skills (as our official company language is English)
