TRAFFIC PLANNER TRAINEE<\/p>\n
The operational unit is located in the Transport result area, which is responsible for, among other things, route and schedule planning and public transport procurement. Our unit has 14 permanent employees. Our unit's areas of responsibility include, for example, traffic disruption management, exceptional public transport arrangements during events and construction sites, and bus transport infrastructure cooperation with municipalities and road managers.<\/p>\n
As a traffic planner trainee, you will ensure the operational conditions for tram and bus traffic in the HSL area during construction sites and events. Your tasks include planning exceptional public transport arrangements and communicating information to, for example, transport operators and other HSL experts. The work may also include updating the public transport register. Successful completion of the job requires close cooperation with contractors and representatives of the urban environment of the member municipalities. The task is mainly office work, but may also include field visits.<\/p>\n

Successful performance of the task requires a systematic approach to work, initiative, problem-solving skills, resilience, the ability to take responsibility, and the ability to work in a diverse network of partners. Good negotiation skills and organizational skills will help in performing the task. The task requires the ability to communicate clearly, even in sudden exceptional situations.<\/p>\n
We require basic IT skills, good local knowledge of the HSL area, a B driving license, and fluent oral and written Finnish. We hope that you have completed studies in, for example, traffic engineering or infrastructure construction.<\/p>\n
