In this category we have summer trainee positions in the field of Finance and Control in our Wärtsilä Shared Service Center in Vaasa as well as in other finance focused positions in other areas of business, such as Business Control, Invoicing, Master Data, Accounts Payable and Payments and Accounts Receivable.

In Finance and Control your main task is to support your team with daily tasks and perform work in your area of responsibility according to instructions, tools and required standards. The specific tasks of each trainee will vary depending on your team, skills, and interest. To excel in the positions of this category you have:

On-going studies in a relevant field (Economics, Financial Accounting, Business Administration, International Business or equivalent)
Good communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken
Good IT skills (including MS Office programs)
Pro-active, analytical, systematic, and organised way of working
Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving capabilities

Depending on the position(s) you are interested in, the following are seen as a benefit – you are not expected to cover all of these but do remember to mention the ones that apply to you in your CV/application:

Experience with SAP, Microsoft Access and/or PowerBI
Interest in developing and automating financial processes
Experience in shared services operations
Knowledge of VAT and other tax regulations

To ensure a fair and equal compensation for all selected trainees, the monthly salary for each trainee is set based on the level of studies and number of acquired study credits. The salary range is 1825€ – 2535€/month depending on the above given factors.
