Summer Trainee, IT Project

We are looking for

IT Project Trainee

to join Normet’s PMO project team in Espoo, on 6th of May – 31st of August 2024.

Normet PMO team is responsible for implementing IT related projects and its mission is to implement new processes and tools worldwide at Normet. We are looking for a summer trainee to coordinate project-related tasks and be part of the Normet PMO team.

In this position, you will participate in project related activities, report project’s financial figures and have a great opportunity to learn about different IT-related projects in the mining industry.

Main responsibilities and tasks: 

-Responsible for project operations and project coordination (task-based work) in co-operation with senior project management

-Project documentation (updates, enhancements)

-Project finance & budget follow-up and reporting

-Other possible project related work

We are looking for candidates with the following competencies:  

-Be a Master/Bachelor degree’s student in information technology or mechanical engineering field (at least two years of studies preferred)

-Studies or experience from project management are considered as an advantage

-Good communication skills in Finnish and English

-Able to work both independently and as part of a team

Proactive and eager to learn

-Proactive attitude

-Experience on basic project management and/or IT tools (such as MS DevOps, MS Project, MS Excel and other MS Office tools) is preferred
