We are currently looking for

Master’s Thesis Worker, Sales and Operations Planning

to join Normet Planning and Fulfillment team. This is full time and fixed-term position with flexible hybrid working model. Office location would be ideally Lahti or alternatively Iisalmi, Finland. The position is planned to start during February 2024 continuing until August 2024. Later on we are open to discuss on further possibilities to continue as a part of global business planning function.

Planning & Fulfillment team is responsible for sales and operations planning, sales support, delivery and invoicing tasks of Normet global equipment business. Normet as a company is a world-leading, innovative global technology company operating in 30 countries. Equipment business presents equipment manufacturing and sales part of the business. Normet group employees over 1700 professionals worldwide with the level of 500 M EUR net sales.

In this position, you will participate in integrating Normet Equipment S&OP process used as a global business management process into two recently acquired companies. Your part is to perform master’s thesis on defining how the process should look like as a whole, connect to existing global S&OP process and provide a roadmap for implementing the new process. In addition to S&OP development, there are also quite limitless other opportunities within these new organizations. The role can be complemented based on your personal interests ensuring in the same time the needed time and guidance for the Master’s thesis. After the fixed-term position, you would ideally continue implementing and leading the process.

We are looking for candidates with the following competencies:

-Systematic person who can handle and lead big entities
-Ideally last year IEM or Economy student
-Studies or experience on process development and management
-Good communication skills in English, German and Finnish skills as advantages
-The right attitude to work with a network of people and eager to learn new
-Good interaction and collaboration skills
-Able to work both independently and as part of a team
-Caring and committed attitude with the going beyond motivation
