Our Manufacturing Engineering team is now looking for two Trainees for different projects to support the great growth story of ours. Position in this team will support your studies and helps you to gain work experience in the field of high-tech product manufacturing and enhance the possible future career plans of yours. Our team is responsible for supporting our production and developing current production methods in cooperation with other Bluefors departments.

During the summer you will be doing supporting tasks in the test systems development and data analysis. Your tasks will include software/interface development, setting up test system hardware, testing and troubleshooting. You could be doing for example automated calibration test setup (by creating a Python script with GUI to automate a specific testing process, including instrument control, data collection, and result analysis), instrument integration (by integrating a new testing instrument into an existing setup using Python, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange), fault detection script (by building a script that monitors the test setup in real-time, detecting and logging any faults or anomalies during the testing process) or statistical analysis tool (by developing a tool that performs statistical analysis on collected data, providing insights into the variability and reliability of the manufacturing process).

To succeed in this position, we expect you to have proficiency in writing and debugging Python scripts, understanding of basic Python libraries (NumPy, SciPy) and basic skills in analysing and interpreting data using Python. You are familiar with various testing instruments and equipment used in manufacturing, and have basic understanding of measurement principles, data acquisition and statistical methods for data analysis. Experience in creating automated test setups and scripts for data collection or knowledge of measurement device communication (SCPI and PyVISA) would be beneficial, but not mandatory.

We expect you to have “get things done”-attitude, eagerness to learn and genuine passion towards your work. You need to have good communication and collaboration skills, since you will be working in cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians and other professionals from different departments. You have the ability to learn quickly and apply new technologies, open-minded and curious attitude, adaptability, and meticulous approach to your work.
