In this category we have our summer trainee positions in the fields of Marketing and Communications. The specific tasks of each trainee will vary depending on your team, skills, and interest. We offer versatile tasks related to content and marketing material creation, documentation, writing and publishing texts, social media posts and news. As a trainee you will have a role in making it possible for Wärtsilä to better our communication and grow our brand recognition on a global scale. To excel in the positions of this category you have:

On-going studies in a relevant field (B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Communication, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent)
Working fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Excellent communication and organising skills
A self-motivated, curious, creative, positive and enthusiastic nature
An ability to work independently and effectively on multiple tasks
Knowledge of digital communications channels and good IT skills (Microsoft Office, content editing tools etc.)

Depending on the position(s) you are interested in, the following are seen as a benefit – you are not expected to cover all of these but do remember to mention the ones that apply to you in your CV/application:

Fluency in Finnish and/or Swedish
Experience in areas like content creation, social media, photography and editing (Photoshop)
Experience in content management (e.g. SharePoint)
Experience in corporate communication, marketing or branding
Courage to challenge status quo and bring up own opinions when brainstorming with the team

To ensure a fair and equal compensation for all selected trainees, the monthly salary for each trainee is set based on the level of studies and number of acquired study credits. The salary range is 1825€ – 2535€/month depending on the above given factors.
