Looking for a super cool summer job in the field of technology? Are you all about science and technology? Would work with cutting-edge ultra-low temperature cooling systems and curious people be awesome? Do you want to be a part of progress and success? If yes, then Bluefors could be the place for you this summer and these would be perfect summer positions for example for Mechanical Engineering (B.SC. or M.Sc.) students.
Our Mechanical Engineering team is now looking for two Trainees for different projects to support the great growth story of ours. Position in our Mechanical Engineering team will support your studies and helps you to gain work experience in the field of high-tech product manufacturing and enhance the possible future career plans of yours. Our team is responsible for designing our cryogen-free dilution refrigerators as well as the components and sub-systems and we take part in many product development projects.
We are at the implementation phase of our PDM system Windchill (PTC) and we have the opportunity to hire a Trainee to help us implementing this system. You will be working in a team of Mechanical Engineers and be responsible of assisting the team in transferring engineering data to our new PDM system while creating new versions of design data. This will also give you the opportunity to learn about our products and the way we design our systems. The tasks will develop during the summer, but you will be closely involved in the PDM project.
To succeed in this role and project, it is required to be a Mechanical Engineering student (B.Sc. or M.Sc.),
have experience in Windchill and creating parts and assemblies in Creo. You also have experience in creating manufacturing drawings and machine designing.
Regarding the other position, you would be appointed to one of our projects based on your skills, knowledge and experience you already have. Possible areas of work could be for example part designing, FEM (mechanical strength / structural analysis), light weight structures, sheet metal designing, additive manufacturing, system testing or documenting and reporting. In this position experience in additive manufacturing, system level testing or Finite Element method analysis in Creo would be highly appreciated.
To succeed in this role, it is required to have experience with Mechanical Design in Creo, knowledge of detailed manufacturing drawings (geometric tolerance) and understanding of common manufacturing processes. You should also have experience in reporting and documentation.
For both roles, we are expecting that you have good teamwork, communication, and reporting skills. You can work independently and systematically, and you are committed to high quality. Positive attitude and hands-on attitude takes you a long way. We expect you to be genuinely proud of what you do, and you do it meticulously. The Mechanical Engineering team is a group of passionate professionals from different backgrounds and nationalities, and this is a great opportunity for you to develop yourself as a future professional. Our work language is English on daily basis and position offers you a great opportunity to improve your strong communication skills even further.
At Bluefors we’re all about continuous development, learning and collaboration in our international environment (we have people from almost 50 different nationalities!) and we always welcome new, uprising talents.
